Bavarian jumps as WHO declares mpox outbreak a global emergency

** Shares in Danish biotech firm Bavarian Nordic  BAVA.CO 
jump 12% as the World Health Organisation (WHO) on Wednesday
declared mpox outbreak in Africa a global emergency
    ** Shares pare gains after rising as much as 17% , highest
since January 19, 2023
    ** WHO declared mpox a global public health emergency for
the second time in two years, following an outbreak of the viral
infection in Democratic Republic of Congo that has spread to
neighbouring countries
    ** "Bavarian Nordic's monkeypox vaccine will be needed,
which is one of the main reasons why the share price has risen
significantly in recent days," Nordnet analyst Per Hansen says
    ** Bavarian shares also jumped on Wednesday more than 10%
after it said late on Tuesday it had received an order the
European Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Authority
(HERA) for its mpox vaccine
    ** Including today's rise the stock has gained 40.83% YTD​
